The driver is responsible for covering any damages that can occur during a trip; however, the car owner is responsible for the general upkeep of the vehicle. This includes, but is not limited to, regular oil changes, replacing windshield wipers and steering fluid, tire pressure and rotation, brakes, and presenting a clean car at the start of the rental. HyreCar does not handle tire damage claims and this must be sorted out between the driver and owner. The owner is responsible for the cost of a flat tire. It is the responsibility of the driver to get it repaired, and the owner is responsible for reimbursing the driver.
