A drivers is fully responsible for toll charges accrued during a rental. For cases where toll charges have the no-cash option, then the driver will have to directly reimburse the owner.
If the car owner receives a toll ticket, then the car owner will need to submit photos of the toll ticket (front and back) to HyreCar support. HyreCar will ask the driver to settle it directly with the owner at this point. If the driver fails to pay the owner directly, we alert our internal claims agent to start claims process. Only when funds are redeemed irrecoverable, HyreCar will backstop charges. If HyreCar has to charge the driver for the toll fee, then there is an additional admin fee of $10 on the driver.
