Yes, it is mandatory to have and maintain a functional GPS and/or telematics device in the vehicle to list on the HyreCar platform. This requirement ensures accurate tracking and monitoring of the vehicle's location and usage. For more detailed information, please refer to our Terms of Service.
If the vehicle currently does not have a GPS tracker, don't worry. HyreCar has partnered with Passtime GPS to offer tracking solutions. You can find additional information here.
What Happens if I Don't Have a GPS Tracker or Choose to Opt Out?
If a vehicle is listed on HyreCar without a GPS tracker, it will result in the voiding of any coverages provided through our various Protection Plans.
